Physiosports Group Sponsor Cyclists have been working hard on the bike and in the gym, overcoming hip, knee and shoulder problems. They have attended Pursue Health & Physiosports Brighton for Physiotherapy, Bikefits or Cycling Specific Rehabilitation with Ray Chan & Paul Visentini. Many were at the National Cycling Championships in Bunninyong, and all have big plans for 2024.
RUDY PORTER is in great form having been prominent in the elite men’s road race at the National Championships being seen in the top ten for most of the day. He also raced the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road race. Rudy is in his second season with the Australian world tour team Jayco-Alula, and has been guided by Ray in his off-season rehabilitation.
WILL MOLONEY-MORTON is in his second season for AC Bisontine in France and recently raced the elite men’s road race at the National Championships. He also raced the Melbourne to Warrnambool Road Race placing 7th. Will has undergone a high level cycling strength program as well as specific management for a shoulder dislocation.
KERRY JONKER is a Bayside local who lives in Girona, Spain, during the European racing season. She has represented South Africa at the Birmingham Commonwealth games, has been Africa Continental Champion on track and has attended 2 road world championships. Kerry is currently racing the track Nations Cup series and training towards representing South Africa at the Paris Olympics on track and road.
ALEX EDNEY is a local rider with the Knights of Suburbia and raced the Elite Men’s Road race at Nationals.
Despite contending with a recent knee injury and limited training Alex was able to take his place at the start line at the Road Nationals and put in a valiant performance.
JAMES OGILVIE raced at Nationals winning a bronze in the Masters ITT. He is the current world record holder for the 1 hour time trial in the 40-45 age group, the current World Masters champion in the Team Pursuit and the National and World Champion in Aquabike. He has recovered beautifully from surgery to his external iliac artery.
